DIGITAL CONTENT CREATION

Digital Content Creation is an innovative screen and media course that is designed to prepare you to work in the ever-growing industry of digital media production and management. The program will focus on web and social media content creation and you will graduate with the ability to generate all forms of digital content including video, photographs, graphics, and audio.

The course runs for 18 months and comprises of CUA41120 Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging
and CUA51020 Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation).

The Digital Content Creation course is aimed at students who are:

Passionate about developing their own unique style as a digital content creator

Duration: 18 months
Delivery: Full time – 3 days per week in Geelong and Ballarat

Aim: to offer skills from the ground up in both shooting and editing techniques with the view of applying them to web and social media platforms. You will develop the necessary skills to operate the features and functions of your DSLR Camera and Video camera equipment. You will also explore design concepts and the skills needed to execute market ready, industry-facing digital content.

  • Proficient video camera operation
  • Develop skills in recording sound and sound editing
  • Respond to artistic briefs to then design and produce digital assets
  • Create and edit digital video and digital images for the web
  • Shoot screen content in a single and multi-camera environment
  • Gain an introduction to the principles of graphic design
  • Prepare works for screens and exhibitions
  • Control digital media campaign projects, including; web, social media, video, graphic design, and photographic elements
  • Develop advanced approaches to capturing video, images and sound content both on location and in studio environments
  • Edit and produce complex screen productions ready for public display and distribution
  • Develop and operate websites
  • Plan, organize and manage a variety of media assets and their functionality
  • Develop a catalogue of works to become a versatile media manager
  • Exploration of professional and business elements relating to the management of digital content creation

There are no prerequisite qualifications and entry into the course is through interview.
